Got a GREAT deal on Quikbook.com for a room here. $129/night for a 31st floor King bed room with an awe-inspiring direct view of the Chicago River meeting Lake Michigan. The Navy Pier lit up at night was worth it alone. Spectacular. I was first put in a room with a view to the south, and only a partial view of the Lake. I asked the bellman if I could be switched, and it was done within 5 minutes with no hassles. The room itself was clean and average sized. Furniture was average. The bed wasn't as comfortable as I had hoped. Bathroom was large -- liked the separate tub and shower. Other touches included marble tiles in the bathroom. Very nice personnel. Even better view from the 42nd floor fitness center and pool. Great value for downtown Chicago. But only if you can find a cheap rate like I did. Quikbook.com seems to have the lowest around. Hoteldiscounts.com had a decent rate, as did Expedia.com and AAA.com. But the quikbook deal was the best. Enjoy.
