Pros: Good Looking Lobby. Large Room. Good Location
Cons: Too pricy for its level.
The Bottom Line: If you don't pay a ticket price and get a good deal, a room in Boston Park Plaza will be a steal.

Certainly paying over $100 per night is not worth it; however if you do get a good deal (I got a $40/night using priceline) then its great. The lobby is beautiful: it has very large ceilings, beautiful hanging chandeliers and the overall design is a la regal.
The location is also a steal - it is right in the middle of everything. Depending on when you go (if you're business traveling - then you will need a taxi to get around); if on leisure on weekends - there is more than plenty of parking around (you drove, or you can rent). The area is nice - there are many great restaurants and the price variety is there (there is the most expensive and the cheapest restaurants in Boston within a walking distance, or at least $5.00 cab distance). There is also several clubs around if anyone is into the night-life.
What is most important is the size of the room. Now, I've been to many hotels and the standard rooms (I am not talking presidential suites here) are all about the same size. Boston Park Plaza is different. First off, it has high ceilings. Second, the room is around 50% larger than your average room in comparable hotels.
The service was average - it took a while at the desk, and there were no Extra smiles - which neither a con or a pro. Sometimes it is very annoying to have EVERYONE smiling at you.
There is also a pretty good steakhouse within the restaurant and with the hotel, you get a discount, so if you like a good steak - this will be plus.
The elevators are modern - they were probably remodeled recently: so you are not traveling in a death box that squeals.
