The Hyatt Harborside is a luxury hotel, in a somewhat unusual location. Boston's Logan Airport is on peninsula, or perhaps it's an isthmus, separated from the city and points south by Boston Harbor. This hotel is on a corner of that isthmus. So, it's essentially in a somewhat remote part of the airport property.
I stayed there, courtesy of Northwest Airlines, when airline mechanical failures caused me to miss connecting flight. It's clearly the best of the airport hotels, but it wouldn't be my first choice for somewhat who wants to visit or do business in downtown Boston.
The hotel is beautiful. Spacious, elegant lobby. Large, nicely appointed rooms. Good, and expensive restaurant.
They offer free shuttle to the airport terminals, but even that takes longer than you'd think. Sometimes 20 minutes. Not including waiting. And the wait can be quite long at the terminal. They also offer free shuttle to either the water taxi to Boston ($$) or the subway, where you wait again and take one or two trains to your destination. It could take up to an hour to get from your room to your downtown destination.

You might stay at the Harborside if you:
1. have an early flight and you want convenience
2. want to hold a meeting near Boston and want parking and less hustle and bustle. There's a fair amount of free parking
3. are doing business at the Trade Center, just a mile or so away.
4. want to be within some form of public transit of downtown Boston and price is more important than location - Hyatt offers some good weekend deals.

But you should NOT stay there if:
1. You want quick and easy access to places in Boston
2. You want to enjoy the flavor of the city
3. You have little patience waiting for various modes of public transit
4. You tire easily of those little shuttle vans

So, it's a luxury hotel in a quirky location. Good for some, but not for many.
