I just got back from the best 3 nights and 4 days of my life. Given that I Lavaliered my girlfriend too in one of the most romantic places in Las Vegas also played a factor, but let me tell you that if you are looking for a romantic get away, the Venetian Hotel is where I would head to.

If you want to you can check out the assortment of suites that are available at www.venetian.com, but I'm going to give you a little preview of what you will be seeing. The Venetian offers four types of suites that range in price from $119 a night to $1000 dollars a night, but don't turn away just because of the price. The smallest room they offer there is 650 sq ft. That is almost as large as my one bedroom apartment! And if you are there on business, they also include a fax/printer/copier and a separate modem line in the room to keep up with the game.

Now on to some of the special services that the Venetian offers. Just like any other Las Vegas Hotel, the Venetian is equipped with a wedding chapel so two love birds can get hitched. Their wedding packages range from $500 to close to $1500. An example of the least expensive package includes getting married in one of the Gondolas in the canal at the hotel, a gondolier singing to you, a bridal bouquet, groom's boutonniere, a wedding coordinator, an authentic Venetian Leather certificate holder, and a photo in the Gondola. Now just imagine what an extra $1000 dollars will get you. And of course there are extra little add on you can purchase.

The Venetian also has a health and fitness spa called the Canyon Ranch Spa Club, that even has a climbing wall. There is also a restaurant there so as not to interrupt your spa day.

And for all those golfers out there, the Venetian can help you get into some of the premier golf courses around Las Vegas.

The Venetian also offers plenty of live entertainment opportunities that are constantly changing throughout the year. And if it's rides you're looking for, the hotel has the romantic gondola rides and it has four 3-D IMAX rides. Another thing you may what to experience is the wax museum, but personally, it kinda creeped me out.

The hotel also has a quaint shopping center called the Grand Canal Shoppes, which is where the Gondola ride is located.

This hotel is also located in a premier location on the Las Vegas Strip. So, if you feel like venturing to another hotel you needn't get a taxi because you can walk. Also the free fountain show of the Belagio are just across the street.

Finally the Venetian offers 13 different experiences for you taste buds. But of all the restaurants I recommend Canaletto. Make sure to check their specials too. This restaurant gets three types of fish flown in daily. It is located in the replica of the Piazza San Marco.

Now on a personal note, let me give you a story of my most romantic evening with my girlfriend. We began with a little gambling and then headed off to the Shoppes. Walked around there a little and then I took her to Canaletto's. I had the Halibut special and she had a seafood and pasta dish. We complimented our dishes with a bottle of Chanti, and unfortunately we were so stuffed, we had to skip desert. By the way, they give you this wonderful bread before your meal. Then we went back into the Shoppes, and I surprised her with a Gondola ride. (You have to make reservations). Then, while we were on the Gondola ride I lavaliered her (it's a necklace with my fraternities letters on it, like a promise ring). I love her so much. And that was the end of a perfect evening.
