We travel to Las Vegas at least once a year for the NASCAR race, sometimes more than once for a conference or seminar related to our work. We like to try out the new hotels/resorts when we go. This year we tried the Venetian.
It would take a lot of persuasion to get me to stay anywhere else next year.
When it comes to Vegas, many hotels are interchangeable -- let's face it, they all have casinos, restaurants and shops. The Venetian has truly succeeded in setting themselves apart from the rest. Although it is difficult to pinpoint the exact factor that sets them apart -- it may have something to do with the absolutely incredible service the staff gives, or maybe the elegant atmosphere, the gondola rides on the canal that runs through the shop area, the exquisite shops, excellent choice of restaurants .... enough said!
The rooms are beautiful -- each one is a mini-suite and larger suites are available. The spa (Canyon Ranch) is superb! The seaweed wrap is a must and the spa personnel are wonderfully friendly and gracious.
Although a trip to Vegas almost demands sightseeing and making the rounds of several casinos and shows -- it's very tempting to stay-put at the Venetian , they have truly succeeded in creating a magical atmosphere that you are tempted to never leave.
