This hotel is magnificent! It not only is totally imposing as you approach it but totally carries you away to Europe once you are inside. Never overdone, like the Bellagio, you will be overcome by the gorgeous flooring, elegant furniture and incredible art work on walls and ceilings. There is nothing nouveau riche here...just pure European elegance. The rooms are large, beautiful, luxurious and cater to your every need, at a not-too-high price (about $150 per day).
The shops are wonderful and richly varied, from the usual pricey clothing boutiques to wonderful doll shops, toys and accessories. The restaurants are reasonably high end, lovely, diversified and full of ambiance. My favorite is Zifferino's, which overlooks the Grand Canal. This is an Italian seafood house and their service, decor, and menu are marvelous. Ask for a table near the window, where you can enjoy great cuisine while gazing at the canal, and listening to the gondoliers belting out lovely arias!
The casino is also wonderful, providing a great variety of games, slots, etc., from 5 cents to the sky is the limit. At your higher slots they have even provided adjustable height seats to keep you there longer in great comfort! Even their valet parking is quick, efficient, and convenient. All in all, whether you spend a day there or a week, it will be an experience you won't soon forget!
