The Cadillac of resorts

Written: May 02 '07
Pros:Incredibly beautiful room and the most comfortable beds
Cons:Large property makes it easy to get lost
The Bottom Line: From family vacations to a romantic trip, the J.W. Marriott Resort and Spa will exceed all expectations!

I have been training in customer service and hospitality for over 3 years now and I have found myself severely disappointed with the service and comfort with many of the resorts I have been to. Each one lacking something to really give you that pampered feeling that you expect when you stay at a resort.

After almost giving up hope for resorts, I took one last chance to stay at a resort and found myself looking at the J.W. Marriott Resort and Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada on priceline.com. The pictures they had posted were beautiful and elegant. It looked like a beautiful place to stay and relax. Not to mention, the prices were incredibly cheap even before adding the Priceline discount. For the room I stayed in with a king bed, it was only $249 a night and that was for a Saturday night! Not bad in Las Vegas were rooms can cost over $1000 a night for such high quality!

Every room also comes with a jacuzzi bath tub and rain drop shower standard! That would normally cost you at least $100 extra to have something like that available! Also, they have a no smoking policy in the rooms which keeps them having a nice clean smell. But for the smokers who want to stay, they have balconies in every room in which they allow smoking.

I decided to go ahead and give the J.W. Marriott a chance and it was by far the best resort I have ever stayed at. The room was incredibly clean neat. The beds had over half a dozen comfortable pillows and a silky soft but warm blanket. They also offered lounge chairs, a drink cooler, and a table with chairs in case you need to get some work done. The bathroom had all of the normal amenities, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. But they also had mouthwash! Now something small like that probably wouldn't get a normal person excited but the fact that they provide every amenity you could need really excites someone like me.

The pool was absolutely beautiful! It wasn't just one of those rectangular pools that can fit five people comfortably, it was a huge pool that curved around to accommodate dozens of people. It also had the look of a place you would expect to find in Hawaii with a small cave and palm trees, not something you find in the middle of Las Vegas.

The staff was also the most friendly and helpful I have ever seen. They were overly happy to work with you and make sure your stay was perfect.

Overall, the J.W. Marriott Resort and Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada is the best resort I have yet to visit. I highly recommend anyone stay here whether for a family vacation or a romantic stay, this affordable resort with make your stay a memorable one!
