A Honeymooner's Delight!

Written: Sep 28 '05
Pros:Location, location, location! Right in the heart of Times Square!
Cons:No one around to help bring in our luggage!
The Bottom Line: This is perfect for people who want to pamper themselves & take advantage of seeing all NYC has to offer!

Back in May we stayed at DGSTS for our honeymoon and we were floored by our room! Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the desk clerk & given chocolate chip cookies. Tired (& HUNGRY) from our wedding reception (Brides NEVER eat at their receptions thanks to the photographer!) we arrived in gown & tux & was greatful for the homemade pick me up! We weren't in our room 15 minutes before we heard a knock on our door. The clerk had sent us a bottle of champagne & JUMBO chocolate dipped strawberries!! SWEET!
I called down to the desk & thanked him profusely!
Our bedroom was fantastic & had more pillows than we knew what to do with! The decor was warm & soothing & we had a beatiful view of Times Square from our windows!
The bathrooms (There were 2) were awesome & stocked with quality toiletries (NEUTRAGENA LADIES!!).
There was a dining room with a HUGE glass table & a kitchenette with a mini fridge & coffee maker. We didn't know there was a microwave until we checked out-it was in one of the upper cabinets-the LAST place we'd think of looking for a microwave!
Past the dining area was the living room with a sectional sofa & a tv. There was a bathroom off from that area!
The next morning we ate breakfast at their Buffet & it was fantastic. My husband LOVED his made to order omlette! I loved their fresh (& SWEET) fruit & rolls. Their home fries were not greasy & they had a nice selection of cold cereals too.
There was a street fair going on that weekend so we had lots to do & we enjoyed a Gospel Brunch over at BB King's.
You can't go wrong staying at Doubletree for ANY occasion!
