My wife and I are in our 60's and have traveled the world. We have never stayed at any hotel better than The Trump International. Our two bedroom suite (#1710) was on the top floor of the hotel. A staff member told us that we had the "most requested" suite in the hotel. We had three exposures. The views from the 10 foot high floor to ceiling windows were spectacular. The living room over-looked Central Park to the East and Columbus Circle to the south. The master bedroom over-looked Central Park. The guest bedroom over-looked Broadway. Each bedroom had an en-suite marble bath. There was also a powder room. A fully equipped kitchen and three huge closets completed the 1540 square foot suite. The furnishings were first class in every way and included both VCR and DVD players and a huge Plasma screen TV in the living room as well as TV's in each bedroom. The dining table sat four comfortably and extended to seat four more when we had company.
The restaurant was one of the best that I have ever enjoyed. I would describe the food as continental with an Asian influence. Anyway, it is wonderful. It is also pricey.
The fitness center is spotless, as is the indoor pool. I particularly liked it that each aerobic machine (bike, treadmill, stairmaster) had its own TV with fresh earphones. There was also a sauna and a steam room. There was no additional charge for any of these facilities, except for spa treatments and massages.
The location was perfect for us because we enjoy Lincoln Center and NY theater, both only a few blocks away, as is Fifth Ave shopping.
One of the best things about the Trump is the friendly and accomodating staff. Every request is responded to by, "It will be my pleasure". Celebrity watching is also a lot of fun. When my granddaughter and I were frolicking in the pool we encountered Jason Alexander and his kids. At various times, in the gym or elevator, we encountered Carol Burnett, Charley Sheen, Robin Williams and Denzel Washington.
