GORGEOUS VIEW FROM ANY FLOOR!

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
Pros:Large rooms, Courteous staff
Cons:too small of a kitchen area

MY THOUGHTS:
WOW!! I was aghast at the understated opulence of the Ritz-Carlton in Cleveland. Around every corner in this spacious hotel is a courteous employee as well as anything your heart desires.

EASE OF ACCESSIBILITY:
Whether walking in or entering in a wheelchair, you will notice the amenities are spacious rooms, wheelchair accessibility to everything including the shower to the balconies to the elevators.

AMENITIES:
I stayed in a large suite of rooms. There were two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large sitting area, an intimate kitchen area, a big balcony and a very large entertainment room. Anything your heart desires can become yours if your lucky enough to stay here.
One bedroom was furnished in blue with a Queen Anne's desk, a phone, a king size bed, automatic coffee pot, a small refrigerator, a large chest of drawers, two comfy chairs, a wall air conditioner/heater, a television and a vcr.
The second bedroom was furnished in orange & yellows. Included was a king size bed, a phone, three comfy chairs, a square table, a television, a small refrigerator, a wall air conditioner/heater and smaller copy of the chest of drawers found in the master bedroom suite.
Both bathrooms (white & silver) included a walk-in or roll-in shower, very thick, comfortable towels, a towel warmer, a lid for the toilet seat, a free-standing sink, and a medicine cabinet in each bathroom that were stocked full of toiletries and regular items you'd most likely find in your own medicine chest.
The kitchen (blue) included a mid-size refrigerator, a small cook top (2 burners - electric), a table that may sit 4 people, and 8 small cupboards. There was food in the cupboards, but we weren't sure how long it had been there, so for our stay we bought non perishables, labeled them with a date in case they weren't used so the next person who stayed in that suite of rooms would know when an item was purchased.
In the sitting area (blue, green & orange), there were 6 large comfy chairs (a few of them you could sink into and not be found for a couple of weeks). Also available were two small square tables, so that they could be pushed together to form a larger table. One table did seem a bit wobbly. There were also 3 board games available in a closet: Monopoly, Life and Parchisi.
In the entertainment room (yellow & blue), there was a large television (38") with surround sound and Picture-In-Picture viewing, 2 phones (one on each end of the room), four semi-comfy chairs, a bar area that was very well supplied, and two couches.
The balcony was concrete of course, but the floor of the balcony had the indoor/outdoor green carpeting applied to it. Three green and yellow chaise loungers were bolted to the floor of the balcony.
The price I'm sure was outrageous; don't know since I won the trip. The shops in and around the Ritz-Carlton were very pricey. In fact, I went window shopping quite a bit and drooled.

EMPLOYEES:
The employees were very courteous and willing to offer help or advice. There were several massuers (sp?) on staff. One was very helpful in removing the stress knots in my back and feet. It seemed as if no one there EVER had a bad day. Bell boys (men) were very helpful getting our baggage to rooms. Employees there are not supposed to receive tips from clients who stay there we were told.

RESTAURANTS:
There were several located in the Ritz-Carlton itself, however we did not venture into them. We either ate room service or went out on the town.

OVERALL RATING: GREAT! FANTASTIC! WONDERFUL! Would recommend the Ritz-Carlton Cleveland to anyone who has money to burn as well as a very ROMANTIC getaway place for you and your sweetheart!
