A Video Poker Players Dream!

Written: Apr 21 '00
Pros:Lots of Video Poker!
Cons:Lots of Video Poker!

Never the real adventurous sort, we usually stayed on "The Strip" or headed downtown. This trip to Las Vegas, it was our goal to visit a few different casinos, located in different areas. Gold Coast was on our list.

Located off the strip, across the street from the Rio, the Gold Coast is a video poker players dream. Walking into the casino, all you could see was rows and rows of video poke. Bonus Poker, Deuces Wild, all sorts of progressives, Joker's Wild, Sevens Wild, to me any kind of possible video poker game around is there! Odds were favorable, some of the best in Las Vegas, even on 5c machines, but you must hunt for them. Always check the odds on your machine, as the same game machine, the one next to you could be better! Odds for the same video poker game vary throughout the casino.

The Gold Coast also had a good supply of table games, some $3 and $5 blackjack. We were able to play 50c roulette for sometime, even with 0 and 00 on the wheel. The slots were modern, all the newest games, but there isn't a monster selection, as video poker is truly king here! If you like the "Vids", take a trip to the Gold Coast!
