I stayed at the Gold Coast with six other couples in February 2000. I was NOT impressed with the Gold Coast. The rooms were adequate, which was OK, since all rooms look the same with your eyes closed. The view from the room was horrible (alleyway, back wall of the casino). I thought the casino itself was dreary, very dark and not very well ventilated. Things just looked old and lacked the pizazz I expect from Las Vegas. The buffet was nothing I would recommend. The food was OK, just nothing very unusual or special.

Next time I vacation in Las Vegas, the Gold Coast is not on my list of places to visit. They did provide a free shuttle to the strip which was very handy. I would not recommend the Gold Coast to my friends.
