If you are looking to avoid the traffic on the Strip, except when the lights and crowd are what you crave; if you seek moderate prices for nice accommodations; if you like buffets, check out the Palace Station. The buffet is consistently tops in town, but if lines aren't your thing, the oyster bar serves about as nice a bouillabaisse as you'll find west of the Rockies. They don't scrimp on the saffron, as anyone playing the machines within twenty feet can tell you. The oyster shooters are pretty special, too. We keep going back for the same reasons the locals do, price, quality, and friendly service. There aren't a lot of kids, either, and the play is looser than at the resorts with big investments to pay off. If your looking for glitz, go to the strip, but if you just want to relax and have a good time, the Palace Station is a good bet.
