| randilyn's Full Review: Palace Station Hotel & Casino |
Although Palace Station isn't too far from the strip, it is still considered a local's casino. I have had occasion to go to Palace Station many times. I used to work a couple blocks away, so I would go there frequently to make my sports bets, play some black jack and throw back a couple of beers. I also attended a day-long meeting there once (and the food served at lunch was deplorable!)
Palace Station isn't anything to write home about. It is an older casino, nothing fancy about it. Black jack can be fun to play there, though. I've had several good runs there, and $3 dollar tables are common. Service is pretty decent. They have a good mexican restaurant too, as I recall. The buffet is decent.
The new Station casinos, like Texas Station and Sunset Station, are much nicer than the original Palace Station. The player's club card is good for all of the Station casinos, so you have less plastic to carry in the wallet. If you want to spend some time at a place that is more subdued and less flashy, then Palace Station might be a good choice.
