My trips to Vegas are always centered around visiting the family. I lived in Vegas for many years and when I left to the Mid-West, I left my family behind. I go often and I always HAVE to go gambling! Well, after years of living in Vegas, you find the best and the worst out about the place. The best by far, are the Station Casinos! Down home employees with the time for you, the customer. Employees at the Station casinos must be told in training, "If you don't like people, we don't want you working here!" Everyone you run across in this service oriented industry genuinely likes their job.
The tables are seldom crowded, although there is a wait at times to get into the poker room. The sports book is right there, the restaurants and buffets are grand, and the slots...Well, what can I say about the slots? You just want to play them all! I love the video deuces wild poker machines and often find that they are hard to find in big casinos. But at Palace Station there are plenty! $1.00 video poker, quarter poker, nickle poker, no problem, they have them available for you at Palace Station. And Bingo? Do you want to play Bingo in a nice comfortable parlor? Play at the Palace! Games usually run about every hour on the hour!
I usually stay with family when I am in town, but during the holidays sometimes the family is overwhelmed and I stay at the Palace Station. The rooms are clean, reasonably priced and conveniently located to the pool and the casino. Room service is as good as restaurant service and the maids have never stolen anything from me! (a problem in some downtown casinos.. from my experience)
I highly recommend the Palace Station Casino!
