I've stayed at the Rio 3 times now, why? Because the rooms are reasonably priced, they're elegantly furnished and they have a nightclub.
If you decide to go there try asking for a room that's as high as possible, they're very accommodating about that, and the added height makes for some great views.
The furnishings have varied slightly each time, but they use good solid stuff, that's not an eyesore. My favourite things about the rooms is that one whole side of the room is floor to ceiling windows, and you can actually look out over the strip as you take a shower due the little window in the bathroom.
The restaurants in the Rio are great also, they have a large selection and the service is great. You get what you pay for.
The only thing I don't like about the Rio is the show in the sky they do every hour or two. It's tedious at best.
I would recommend this hotel to the young people on a budget that still have class and know how to dress up and have fun.
