Steve Wynn's finest creation!

Written: Dec 16 '99 (Updated Dec 22 '99)
Pros:Elegance, fine art, and other not-to-be missed attractions.
Cons:None.....this is Steve Wynn's finest product!

Yep, it's another Mirage Resorts product, and Steve Wynn really outdid himself with the Bellagio. Just by looking at the place you notice something different about it. Forget about the neon, this place is all about elegance with an Italian flavor.

So what does the Bellagio offer besides the casino area?

1. Botanical Conservatory: An area filled with plants and flowers for that natural aromatherapy.

2. Gallery of Fine Art: No where else in Las Vegas is there a more extensive collection of fine art for public viewing. Steve Wynn wanted the best pieces of art that he could get his hands on such as Monet, Matisse, Van Gogh, Picasso, and etc. It costs $6 if you're a NV resident or $12 for non-residents, and it's open from about 8am to 11pm.

3. Cirque Du Soleil's "O": Well, I haven't seen this show yet, but my relatives and friends who have.....are very impressed with this aquatic marvel!

4. Spa Bellagio/Salon at Bellagio: A great place to be pampered, massaged, and etc.

5. Fountains at Bellagio: Yep, the lake in front of the Bellagio isn't there just to fill up some space. There is a fountain show usually in the afternoon to late at night at regular intervals with about 1000 fountains that perform a sort of water-ballet that is highlighted with color, light, and music. The best part of this one is that it's FREE Ninety-FREE.

6. The Shops of Via Bellagio: If you've got some deep pockets, then this is the place for you to shop. Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Chanel, Hermes, Tiffany & Co., and others are all here.

7. Top-notch Dining: The Bellagio offers quite a few top-notch restaurants such as Le Cirque, Olives, Shintaro, Prime, Picasso (with Picasso's works of art displayed of course), Circo, and etc. In addition, don't forget about their Buffet. It's less than $30, and take note: KING CRAB LEGS! Can you ever get enough King Crab Legs? I know that I can't!

PLEASE NOTE:

- The Bellagio has a "No one under 18 years of age" policy with the exception being registered guests and some other cases. Check out their website (shown below) for more details.

- Promotional Pricing: See, it pays to use the Internet. Go to their website to see their dates for promotional pricing on staying at the Bellagio.

- There are two main self-parking areas for the Bellagio. One is off of the entrance from Las Vegas Blvd which is the main garage parking. The second is off of Flamingo Road a little to the west of Las Vegas Blvd, and this parking area is very limited.....usually only for those people who go to see the Cirque du Soleil show, O.

OVERALL

With the ambiance and the attractions of the Bellagio, it would be a pity not to visit the Bellagio on your next trip to Las Vegas. It would be very well worth your time. If I could give this place 6 stars, I would!
