I agree with GOkinaka that the BELLAGIO Vegas is Steve Wynn's finest creation. It is stunning. Amazingly, indescribably stunning. So much, it's tacky.
I can only say this with the experience of 17 years, my whole life, living in Las Vegas. I have seen the great hotels come and go, and sadly BELLAGIO isn't one of them.
As part of my occupation I visit the BELLAGIO almost weekly, and I feel almost "inadequate" among the fine Italian marble and antique tapestry. Persoanlly, I like the ugly concrete loading dock I have the privelage to view when I use the hotel "back entrance". I have come to the realization the a casino is a casino is a casino. You see one, you've see them all. BELLAGIO has the appeal of the finest of fine, but it is so bombarding, it seems Mr. Wynn is trying to hard to impress us.
Therefore I do conceed that it is Wynn's finest of his properties. But it's no place for children, or relaxed adults, or those of a "lesser class or state". Simply put, not for the typical tourist, or local.
