The Imperial Palace is not the hotel you first think of, when someone says Vegas. In fact, most of the time mention the name and others will say "where?" However, IP is a great deal for its price. Centrally located, IP gives you clean and comfortable rooms in the heart of the Strip.
The casino itself is a little small, but is always hopping (with people and money). No, the IP doesn't offer you the spectacular fireworks some of the newer casinos boast, but it does provide just as much entertainment. IP has an assortment of machines and low-dollar tables. And several fair restaurants. (The Italian bistro upstairs is great for a midnight snack!). And of course, IP has the car show (a great attraction for guys while the gals are off shopping at Ceasar's shops.) If you're staying somewhere else, don't pass by because of the teaser casino that is actually on the strip. This tiny room is deceptive. No one is ever there and the machines are always dead. If you pass right through you will hit the main lobby/casino and see the real IP.
