| omegabay's Full Review: Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino |
On December 7, 1991 (Yes, I know Pearl Harbor Day) my husband and I were married in the Imperial Palace wedding chapel. I know that Vegas is famous for their chapels and have more elegant ones, but we both liked the simplicity of this one. The cost wasn't bad either. We were on a budget and the price was just right $320.00. That included the limosine ride from our hotel (Westward Ho) to the courthouse to get our license and to the Imperial Palace for the ceremony, my flowers, the chapel cost, a video and pictures. Not bad!
The ceremony was a very simple one, we had a few friends (actually friends of my husbands since we were on a business trip also)but it was perfect.
After the ceremony we decided to start walking and hit some of the casinos. My favorite thing is the quarter slots. I can play them for hours and have. Anyway, our last stop before going back to our hotel was Circus Circus. My husband handed me a quarter on our way out and I naturally put it in the nearest slot machine, pulled the handle and got triple 7's. Needless to say, I won enough to not only pay for our wedding, but enough for us to stay in the Hilton Jacuzzi suite when we got back home (we were only in Vegas for the weekend--short business trip). We also ended up with money left over.
We have been back to Las Vegas twice since then, for the same business trip which is held the same time every year, and both times have been there for our anniversary.
I would like to go back when it's not business so I can enjoy more of the shows and gambling.
