I've stayed at several hotels around Las Vegas throughout the years and was very impressed with my first stay at the Las Vegas Hilton.
I stayed on Sunday and Monday nights at an internet rate of only $25/night. I have to say that for that price, it was a steal. It was much cleaner than Excalibur, and the rooms were of adequate size.
Pros:
1. Decent sized, clean rooms.
2. Off the strip, but not so far out you couldn't walk in if you wanted.
3. Good service from the staff. We called down for a hairdryer and someone was at our door within 5 minutes.
4. Casino downstairs. If a companion wants to continue gambling, and you don't, they can just go downstairs.
5. Toiletries provided included lotion.
Cons:
1. The bathrooms were fine, but could use a little remodeling.
2. For those visiting that like the newer end of the strip, the location might be too far if you don't have a car or use a cab.
3. Hairdryers are not standard in the rooms, if you need one, you should call housekeeping and request it.
Generally, I found the Hilton to be an excellent choice for people who need an inexpensive place to stay for a couple of nights (Sunday-Thursday). I will undoubtedly stay there again.
