The Las Vegas Hilton is one place in Vegas where you can do a whole week and never leave the facility. Surprisingly, this is the only major center for conferences and seminars in Vegas and the space is less than adequate. It is designed to make everyone walk through the casino each time they attend the conference center. However, each time I go there, there are major shows/conferences going on, except the one I attended last week.
However, the Hilton is a good place for women to feel safe, lie about it and not be too concerned about being alone. You can move about freely any hour of the day or night, you can go downstairs to one of two casinos and play Slingo with your girlfriend and win $1,000, find room 2146 and act out and no one will be the wiser.
And celebrate is something that people do in Vegas. I know someone who was there and fell for some slow talkin' sleazy PhD who was doing a seminar last week. (Wow -some seminar, huh?) and they both denied this was happening!!
Additionally, the Hilton gives you the option to eat your meals in your room or if it is late night fare you choose, try the the late night coffee shop. It is much less expensive than a real meal, great for those on the cheap, as in trying to save the meal allocation money their companies provide and is available all night, Then go up and carry on like some crazies( no screaming!!!)
Their Italian restaurant is a really classy place and makes for a great dinner. We ate there - now, this is not an inexpensive place to have dinner. But, my friend was gracious enough to pick up the tab of over $100 for two. I was very pleased to see that they had my favorite Muscato wine, which is very uncommon.
The upper level contains the suite rooms suitable for hospitality space and partying and finding the conference PARTNER you want to spend the balance of the conference nights (and days, in this case) with, before you hurry home back to your "respectable life" as a big shot. Oh, gross!!
This hotel has lots of casino space, this facility is huge - they have just added a new sports bar when we were there in August, but last week they had sports going on all over the place, and the dogs were really running!
Also, to save money, take your girlfriend to the Star Trek casino, next to the regular casino. It does not pay much, and I have never seen anyone win in there, and they spent a fortune on customizing the machines a la Trekie caca. But, you can make believe that you went out and spent money that you didn't. Save your money to pay those people who visit your mom.
Don't miss this chance to carefully observe what happens here. The staff is very nice and most helpful. They will provide you with all kinds of information, especially if you are skilled at casual interviewing and have money rolled up in your hand. They also have a ticket booth on the first floor to obtain tickets for some shows in Vegas.
Their valet people are very nice and try to be very fast in their response. I saw a tall cheap ugly Austin Texas woman skunk the valet and he was genuinely nice to her, so I gave him an extra $5.00. Don't you hate cheap, lying people????
Watch out for people who smile all the time, especially when they make believe they are something they are not. And, boy there was a bunch of those at this place last week!!!!
