The Las Vegas Hilton is a great place to stay. Even though it is closer to downtown and a little off the strip, the hotel and casino offer enough that you don't seem to miss the strip. If you choose to stay there, ask for the North Tower rooms. They are newly remodeled and have great views of either the strip or the golf course. There are a wide variety of restaurants to eat at, all of them quite good. The buffet is ok by Vegas standards. The Star Trek Experience is something that everyone should try at least once while in Vegas. The space theme casinos is great. Many of the old-timers don't like the space casino, so you will usually find a younger crowd there. The dealers are friendly. A word of caution, if you look young, be prepared to show ID. I was carded several times while I was in there. Its a compliment since I am almost 30, but after the 3rd time being carded, it got a little trying. The Hilton is a little off the beaten path, so you have to take a cab to get to the strip. Overall the Las Vegas Hilton is a great place to stay while in Vegas.
