Full of stuffy convention goers and corporate America types, this hotel's crowd is not who/what gives Vegas its stellar reputation. The whole star trek thing is a bust. The ride is SO overrated. The star trek casino is small and empty. The main casino is outdated and blah. A lot of hard core gamblers not interested in the social aspect of gambling, even at the $5 tables. Lots of slot players, too. Boring.
I didn't like any of the restaurants I went to, and I was on a company budget, so I wasn't going cheap. My room had a murphy bed and I had to pull it down from the wall. What kind of service is that?
The "Rent" cast came down in September, but other than that, there is no good entertainment, at all. It is a business hotel, as the largest Las Vegas convention center is located here. The worst part is that it isn't on the strip, contrary to this web sites categorization. It is well off the strip and is the only hotel in its vicinity. There isn't a night life to be found.
It kind of reminds me of a lame Atlantic City Hotel, and since Vegas is 10000 times better than AC, you've got to do it right. Don't stay there. I'm telling you.
