Pros:Fun, great slots, lots to do.
Cons:A bit pricey, but worth it.
I visited Vegas on Jan 5-6 and stayed at the Luxor hotel and casino. Check in was quick and painless. Our rooms were on the 20th floor with a decent view of the Strip. My room was large and comfortable. The price was about $90 a night. Had I come alone, I would not have paid that much for a room. However, there were 5 of us in two rooms and that made it worth it. We really only needed a place to sleep because we spent most of our time gambling. It was a great place for that. The beds were very comfortable with nice soft pillows. The bathroom was well-stocked with shampoo, lotion, soap, towels, etc. The only thing that was strange was getting off the inclinator (elevator) and walking what seemed like a quarter mile to our rooms. Otherwise, this was a good choice. However, management needs to speak with their staff. The maid came around to clean our room at 9am. She knocked and came in and was very rude. No tip for her!
The casino at Luxor was a lot of fun. Everyone knows I like the nickel slots. I think how patrons are treated there tells you a lot about the casino. I gambled at Luxor for a while and thoroughly enjoyed myself. They have a large variety of slots and they are a lot of fun. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I'm staying in Vegas. The staff, other than the maid, is nice and courteous. It's beautiful hotel and casino, as far as Vegas hotels and casinos go. I like the Egyptian theme. It's a fun place with lots to do for all family members.
