After staying at the Luxor hotel and casino in Las Vegas, I recommend the place as one of the best places to stay in Vegas.
I went in the middle of January and the weather was mild every day - for a weekday, I paid only $59 per night for a room in the East Tower. (Weekend rates are much higher) The only problem I had was that the front-desk clerk did not inform me that I was in the east tower, so I went to the west tower first and wandered around for a few minutes before I figured out my room was not there. A hotel employee noticed I was lost and pointed me in the right direction.
My room was very nicely laid out, and everything was in pretty good shape. The hotel itself is beautiful inside and out, but for people who don't like to walk much, however, they will find the hotel quite large, and may even get lost sometimes. Despite the fact that the front-desk clerk told me that the tower rooms were the nicest, next time I will try a room in the pyramid part of the hotel to see what that is like.
I recommend the Luxor to families, couples, friends and just about anyone else. The service was first class, and there is even a monorail out front to take you to the hotels on either side of the Luxor.
