My husband and I went to Las Vegas for the first time last summer. We loved Las Vegas but was not impressed with the Luxor casino staff. The casino was not very friendly and not much help for first time gamblers. They seemed to be told to be cold to all customers! We did go next door to the Excalibur and was treated much more like they wanted our business. The Excalibur casino people were also great to offer tips on what to do in any particular situation.
Luxor Hotel is a splendid place to stay if you are wanting more privacy. There wasn't too much noise above the casino in our room. The spa was a great relaxation as were the 4 or 5 pools.
My next visit to Las Vegas will be spent at the Excalibur Hotel where they treated us more on a friendly, inviting place to stay.
