I have been to Las Vegas four times now. I've stayed in the Circus Circus and the Luxor, and I must say that the Luxor is by far the best place I've stayed. I went there on vacation and for the experience, not to gamble. But I still had a whole lot of fun!
There is a whole lot to do, and has great rooms. The rooms are very clean, very large, extremely nice, and the room I stayed in was stocked with a TV, two queen sized beds, a kitchen, and a bathroom with a clean shower with no water pressure. The channels provided weren't very good, so I didn't spend much time watching TV. Probably a good idea for the hotel so they get more people to gamble instead of watch TV.
I did find a whole lot to eat though. They have about 4 restaurants inside the hotel, one or two are buffett. They are for the most part good quality, but I did have a disgusting breakfast at one of the buffets once. I ended up eating cereal from little packets. One place of interest that is very near the Luxor is the Dinner Show at the Excalibar. The food was excellent, and it is very entertaining.
There is a whole lot to do inside the hotel. There is the casino which is very large, they have an Imax theater which is somethings that you and your kids should not miss, there is a 3d motion theater, which was pretty cool, maybe more for the ride junkie, a replica of King Tut's Tomb, a spa where you can get a massage and such, a nightclub which I didn't get to go to, an aerial act which I didn't get to see, and a lounge that is nice to hang out in and hear some music.
This is a great place to stay. If you are looking for a nice place to stay and might not want to spend a lot of time gambling, try this place.
