After several other visits I finally made my reservation at the Mirage. I always loved the stunning views of the golden plated rooms.
At check in we were helped fast and efficiently. We're able to park our car in front of the hotel whilst checking in, after that we parked in in the covered lots behind the hotel. Parking is free and easy accessible by a bridge from the hotel to the garage. The room we got was at the end of the hallway so it was quite a stroll to get there.
Rooms were roomy and clean. The room had one 25" TV set and two queen sized beds. The color where tropical style as in light wooden beds and tables and red/green/blue furnishings. There also was an ironing board and iron and plenty of mirrors on the built in closet next to the entrance of the room. We had a volcano view room which we liked a lot. The bathroom had one sink and had a combined bathtub/shower. There are electricity plugs and a hairdryer as well as a additional ventilator to get rid of unwanted scents of the toilet that also is located in the bathroom. There were plenty of towels and they're normal size and of OK quality.
The hotel cocktail bar usually is packed and they indeed serve very nice cocktails. The buffet on the other side isn't as good as it used to be. When we ate there a few years ago the food definately was top, now it was average. When it comes down to LV buffets there's only one: The Bellagio.
At check-out we noticed the lady at the buffet made a mistake (20 couverts instead of 2) which was quickly taken care of by the friendly agent.
The hotel offers a lot of amenities like a business center (opened during extended business hours), spa, pool, room service which I didn't make use of but are at your disposal if you want to.
