Pros: Location, Location, Location.
Cons: Overpriced. Dull.
The Bottom Line: Not bad. But there are simply too many better options. As such, I can't recommend the Mirage.

MIRAGE (Category: Elite / Overall rating: C)
LOCATION: (Rating A) The Mirage is located at the center of the strip, on the west side. It's positioned between Caesars Palace and Treasure Island. The Bellagio and Venetian (and several other hotels) are within easy walking distance. If you plan to explore the strip, this is a terrific location!
ROOMS: (Rating B-) I stayed in a standard room, and “standard” pretty much covers it. The room was slightly larger than average, and had a nice bathroom. Well appointed, clean, and comfortable. Make no mistake, everything was just fine. But as an elite hotel, I guess I expected something fancier.
CASINO: (Rating C+) The casino is large, with the usual selection of slot machines and table games. Classy and well maintained, but (just like my room) I expected a little more. The race & sports book is very comfortable, but it lacked excitement. The poker room is top notch for high limit players. But if you are a lower limit player (like myself) you will feel "out of place."
FOOD/RESTAURANTS: (Rating C) As with most Las Vegas elite hotels, there are upscale dining choices galore. Unforunately, that is not my thing. I prefer casual dining. In this regard, the Mirage is below average. While the buffet is good, it is WAY way over priced! The same can be said for all the other eateries. The Mirage has no "fast food" options.
BARS/CLUBS: (Rating C-) I visited a few of the lounges. But none left any impression, good or bad. I can’t even remember any of their names. I didn't go to their signature nightclub. (JET) It's designed for the "20 something" crowd.
ENTERTAINMENT: (Rating Unrated) Before buying tickets for “LOVE,” I thought I should ask a friend (who had seen it) for advice. That friend asked me, “Have you seen any other Cirque shows?” My reply was “Yes! I have seen “O,” Mystere, and KA.” She asked me, “Which one(s) did you like and why.” I said “Mystere was the best. I loved the acrobatics. “O” was decent. KA was somewhat disappointing.” Without hesitation, she said “You should pass on LOVE. It will probably bore you. While the music is incredible, it's mostly dancing and kind of artsy.” Since I had an original interest in seeing this show, (but didn’t) I felt I should not give a rating for this category.
VALUE: (D) The “bang for the buck” factor is below average. There are many better options at simular prices.
