| bjcuevas's Full Review: The Mirage Hotel And Casino |
I could sum this up in two words, FIRST CLASS! Then you probably wouldn't us the Mirage when you go to Vegas. There is valet parking, limousine and bus service to and from the Mirage Hotel. Pull right up to the front door a number of service people are waiting to help you. Upon entering there will be a large aquarium, It is beautiful. Shiny wood floors, greenery, brass, fountains and palm trees everywhere.
Everyone is treated like they are someone special.
The Mirage has special prices on certain days of the year and for large groups. It is recommended you call or check them out on the internet so, you get the most for your money.
Right outside the front doors is an erupting volcano it is best to view this in the evening. Just breath taking.
It was a little loud when we entered the Mirage, if that is a problem, just walk around the corner, there are quiet areas where you can eat, drink and have conversation.
Check-in looked like it might take a while, there were people all over the place, but, it didn't. The bell hop was there and took our luggage to the room. The staff moved quickly and efficiently.
The hallways to the rooms are a little confusing, there are many forks in the road and it is easy to loose your way. The wallpaper combined with the hall lighting really does a number on your eyes. Once on the floor were the rooms are it seems deserted compared to the main floor.
The rooms are luxurious, living room, dinning, 2 queen beds all with royal colors and very plush.
There are elevator attendants and shoe shine boys.
There is a spa/salon, gambling and music, fine dinning or have pizza. Depending where you are in the hotel the atmosphere changes from loud, laughter and music to romantic and soothing by literally just turning the corner.
Everything is at your fingertips! You really could just stay at the Mirage Hotel and not want for anything.
The line of gift shops range from jewelry, fine dinning clothes to stuffed animals and T-shirts to a drug store. An infant sweat shirt will cost about 25.00.
Stop at the customer service desk and join the Mirage Club and rack up the points.
Planning your vacation ahead of time is best if planning to see a few good shows. Most will be sold out quickly. If not check with the concierge regarding shows and special attractions. No wondering around looking for something to do, they have all the information you will need.
The Siegfried and Roy show is at the Mirage the tickets start at 89.00. It is the best! They have a white tiger exhibit walk through outside.
It is an excellent place to stay. I would recommend this hotel for romantics first and all who really want to live it up.
