Review Topic:  Sights & Attractions

My husband and I ventured to Las Vegas for our honeymoon, and it was wonderful. We wanted somewhere relatively warm (it was January). We arrived at the Mirage without reservations and found there staff to be EXTREMELY professional and accomadating. They put us into a penthouse suite for a fraction of the normal cost. The room was absolutely spectacular, offering a wet bar, a living room, dining room, bedroom, huge bathroom and dressing area. All of it was decorated perfectly. The curtains automatically opened to reveal a breathtaking view of the strip. The view will be in my mind for ever. It was like nothing I had ever seen before.

Outside of our fantastic room, the Mirage had wonderful scenery, including a huge auquarium, and exotic plants growing everywhere.
The casino struck me as "classy". I'll admit we did not spend a lot of time gambling, but I liked it better than some of the other casinos we viewed. The mirage also has a simulated volcano which erupts, dolphins, white tigers, and a huge swimming pool. All of them are entertaining and spectacular.

We ate at a buffet and it was fantastic. It cost 13.00 a piece. I had been expecting the food prices to be a little cheaper(I had heard food was cheap in Vegas), but the Mirage didn't have any real cheap places to eat. Although as I mentioned, the buffet was very good and probably worth 13.00.

We went to the infamous "Seigfreid and Roy" show. Although it was fun to attend a show, I would not recommend it. My husband and I paid $180.00 for the show and 2 drinks a person. We were kind of sitting off to the side and unfortunately could see that all of the magic tricks were not "magic". It would have been more believable if we were sitting in the middle. The only fun part about it was seeing all of the animals. If we went back, we would never again waste our money on this show.

The Mirage is situated among many other famous casinos such as Treasure Island and Ceaser's, so it is easy to do a lot of sightseeing in a morning.

I would recommend the mirage to honeymooner's, couple's looking for a romantic getaway, or people with kids(they would like the Tiger's, Pool, and Dolphin's). People who love animals and plants would also enjoy the Mirage.

Finally, I would like to inform you if you do decide to stay at the Mirage, that the dress is skirts or dressy pant suits for women and slacks for men.

All in all, I will definitely be staying at the Mirage if we decide to return to Vegas
