An enjoyable stay

Written: Jul 11 '08
Pros:easy to navigate, nice rooms, good location
Cons:maid coming not as often, tasteless promotion of Lance Burton
The Bottom Line: Line _________________________________________ Line

Coming to Las Vegas the second time I was more aware. After seeing the north strip so much (quite the eyesore) I wanted to be in the middle. I decided to stay at the Monte Carlo.

The First Look/Checking In

Your first look at this hotel (before the restaurant with the Devil in front of it showed up) reflects how the hotel is, friendly and welcoming. You go into the lobby and there are many people working there and ready to help you. The inside of the hotel matches the renaissance architecture. The lobby is nothing special, but it looks pretty and the service is very nice.

The Rooms

After this you will be shown to the elevators and you will probably go up to your room. The rooms are very nice. The maid seem to come a little bit less than you would expect, but really there is nothing to complain about.

The Amenities

This hotel has everything that you need, and what they have they do an excellent job at it. The spa is very pampering, the pool has a lazy river and a wave pool, and they have a very big exercise room.

The Restaurants

Like I said before, they only have a few restaurants but they are excellent. My favorite is the Dragon Noodle, an Oriental restaurant and sushi bar. It wasn't very fancy, but the food was very good. The "nightclub" here isn't really a club, but a brewpub. They have lots of live music and good beer and food.

The Service

The service here is nothing short of dedicated. The concierges do a very good job and should answer your questions/requests.

The Prices

The Monte Carlo is a little bit on the expensive side, but they also have promotional deals. What I like about these deals is that you have to choose certain dates but on their website you can choose a coupon (ex. two spa passes) and they are a great deal.

Final Thoughts

I had a very nice stay. It was sort of different from the other Las Vegas hotels I have stayed at because the casino is very easy to avoid and the whole hotel is very easy to get around. In my opinion you should stay here if you want to stay in the middle of the strip, not the Planet Hollywood
