Okay, I admit that I like to travel to Las Vegas and try new hotels. That is part of the excitement of Las Vegas, experiencing the new hotel / casino themes. That being said, the Monte Carlo is the ONLY hotel I would stay at a second time. I arrived from the airport at 8:30 a.m. The lobby was spacious and elegant. Even with the checkout crowds, it was not too crowded.
I was immediately given a room at 8:30 a.m., no extra charge. I will admit I did get the last clean room available that early in the day and I did accept a room on the third floor (the view was of a roof). The staff had already cleaned and serviced the room. The room was very large and the bathroom was incredible (complete with iron and hair dryer). The best part, my non-smoking room was a real non-smoking room (not one whiff of cigarette smoke).
I really liked the convenience of the of food court. They had a wide range of food without having to submit to a buffet for every meal. If the food court is “too busy”, they have other great places including a brewery.
I had a great experience with the casino. Most of the slots I enjoyed were available when I wanted them. I was surprised at the number of tables that were closed, even though many of the active tables seemed crowded. Of course, I only like roulette, so it did not matter much.
