Pros: Great rooms, great price, sky ceiling
Cons: not very exciting, if you're young you leave
The Bottom Line: I would say for both families and people who have yet discovered Paris come here. Prices are good!

| marcus1701's Full Review: Paris Las Vegas |
Well I think I may have a problem. I love Vegas. I mean I really love it. I had a couple of birthdays there, and have done the whole VIP room and H2 hummer stuff. I have gone maybe 12 times now since I was 18. Anyways I think I have learned some things for people who are both on a budget and others who want to do it big. Feel free to ask me questions!
This review is for what I consider the best bang for buck in Vegas. Room prices are about the same as other hotels so it isn't really about money. I'll tell you right now the best and most expensive hotels are Venetian and Wynn, nevermind Bellagio it's sorta gone down hill over the years. What we all like is a clean classy italian sort of styling, and even though Paris is in France, there's still a refreshing sense of design.
Rooms: Now keep in mind I value the rooms more than I value the lobby or casino because at some point you're going to visit other casino's for food, entertainment, or to gamble. Paris has some fantastic rooms that breathe and make you feel at home. The bathrooms are generously sized which I like and the decor is soothing as well. I don't ever plan to stay in a room very long so whether there is a plasma or autodimming lights I could care less about. What I do care about is the wallpaper and bathroom. Paris rooms always look clean and warm...perfect when I want to rest.
Atmosphere: I know I mentioned the casino and lobby don't matter much but I thought I should note that I really like gambling there. The ceiling is a replicated sky which to me makes me feel kinda like I'm outdoors gambling. You could say the tower itself is a bit cheesy, but hey, there's worse in Vegas. The cobblestone and street style signs add to the ambience as well, and work much better than a lot of Hotel signage that seem to keep you walking in circles.
Food: You can't go wrong with buffet. No matter where I really go, there's almost no such thing as me hating it. I mean food is food. If you want cheap there are fast-food joints and if you want expensive...well look around you'll find'em. To me, the only time a buffet is a let down in the morning is if they don't make custom ommeletes, and at night if they don't have prime rib, that's it! No really Vegas buffets are the best but prices are there for a reason...$18 is not gonna get you the same $35 buffet at the wynn in the morning. The cafe's are not that good if anything. I thought food should taste good...it's average like Mel's drive-in and you know what really sucks?? It is a few dollars shy of dishes at my favorite place "Bellagio Cafe."
Location: Well if you're like me you cab everywhere. You can save yourself some trouble if you plan to walk because once again, I chose my Hotel to be in the middle of the strip. It's next to my favorite Casino...Planet Hollywood (PH) review on that next time.
Kids: Well I don't have any, and I won't if Vegas has anything to say about that lol, but I know some of you want to plan a family trip out there so I can happily say the atmosphere is very welcoming to people of all ages. You're not gonna get that sleazy vibe Vegas is known for. From the ceiling to the walls, to the waitresses...everything is good taste and dressed appropriately so.
Conclusion: It isn't the most happening place to be during the day...or night. The buffet is average but what makes this place a winner is the rooms and the price you pay. Not to mention the casino itself is very relaxing. I have stayed here twice so far and this is by far the best compromise between room price and quality.
Update: So I wanted to just give you guys some idea of where I have stayed so far....Bellagio, Paris, Monte Carlo, Planet Hollywood, Circus Circus, TI, Mirage, Excalibur, Rio, Luxor, New York New York, and Cesar's Palace. I liked Paris for the overall value, Luxor is a good value as well.
