| daventray's Full Review: Disneys All Star Sports Resort |
In May of '98 my husband and I were married. For our honeymoon we had picked The All-Star Sports Resort for our on-site accommodations. I was kind of skeptical, since it was our honeymoon and we weren't staying at one of the higher priced places in Disney. Having never been to Disney, I expected it to be a little trashy and not very exciting. WAS I WRONG!!!!
When we arrived in our rental car to the Resort I was overwhelmed with how cool everything was. Driving into the parking lot we passed this mini-suitcase with wheels carrying someone's luggage to their room, I burst out laughing! At that very second I was totally taken back a good five to ten years in age!
The All - Star has two great pools. One of which has Goofey and a cannon shooting water balls out(hard to explain but kind of small amounts of water that look like balls??!!) The other I only glanced at and couldn't really tell you anything other than it was surrounded by huge surf boards! The pool we swam in was extremely clean and the life guards were very alert.
The rooms were neatly arranged. We had a room with two double beds. It was cleaned every morning and had a big window over looking the football field!
If we didn't want to eat at the parks they had a cafeteria style diner centrally located with reasonably priced food all day. Our average cost for breakfast was about $6.50 a piece. Which in Disney is very good!
We really enjoyed our stay at the All Star and are looking forward to taking our son there maybe next year!
