doggboy's Full Review: 4 Wheel & Off Road Magazine Subscription
I've been picking up 4-Wheel and Off Road for about 2 years now and still have every issue I have ever bought. What sets this magazine apart from the other Off-Road magazines is its honest, regular Joe type of style. The articles are easy to read, humorous, and descriptive. The writers actually own the types of vehicles featured and commented on so you get the real world experience behind the writing. My favorite articles are the How-To's. For example, in a suspension upgrade article. They will take you step by step and explain in gritty detail the labor involved, tools required, and problems that may occur and how to overcome them. They always include photos which further help to explain any written details. As a Jeep owner, I have found the magazine to be more helpful than any owners manual. Much of what I have done and plan to do were taken from the articles of 4-Wheel and Off Road. And when i'm not out working on my Jeep or playing in the dirt, I'm Couch Wheelin' with any one of my copies of 4-Wheel and Off Road. If you own or plan to own a four wheel drive vehicle, there is no other magazine that I would recommend to you than this one. It's laid back, down home style will keep you coming back to the newstand every month waiting for that next issue to hit.
