| protoguy's Full Review: Adobe Magazine |
Adobe magazine is a good, reliable publication to turn to if you need help with Adobe software questions.
It contains regular features that answer questions and offer tips on all the major Adobe products. Of course, since I use Photoshop the most, I wish there was more on this one program, but I can't complain. As I get to use more of their software, like After Effects, I will need advice on those programs.
Adobe Magazine is a great tool for marketing their products and that is my only true complaint. While I cannot say that content suffers because of this focus, it is a little off-putting knowing you are reading a magazine that is basically a large advertisement.
Their certainly could be a bit more help offered than just the small sections on each program. I would also like to see more tutorials and tips.
Their are product reviews that are not (I believe) Adobe products, such as scanners, but these are not what I subscribe for. I use Adobe Magazine for some of the same reasons I subscribe to other art and design magazines, inspiration. I also use it to get a fresh look at what is going on in the industry. Adobe Magazine offer only small portions of this.
Overall I would recommend Adobe Magazine. The shortcomings are small compared to the information you can glean from their products, especially information that is not provided in their manuals.
