Pros: Cleverly conceived and executed.
Cons: Slightly more West Coast-focused than it needs to be. Relatively costly.

but unfortunately not entirely about the things I need to know to evaluate this magazine. Most importantly, I didn't get any real feel for the content. Are there regular features? Are most of the articles conversations? have an academic tone? Who would want to read this magazine.

I hope you update this review and write others because I really do enjoy your writing.

Hi,

I was going to add some suggestions for raising the rating on this review but the two members below gave such excellent ones that I am not going to add to them.

I will suggest that you make the effort to update. With an overall rating of SH it won't earn any IS. I'd really like to see you make money on this review. It was strong potential. Just enlarge on what you wrote. Good luck!

You've got a really good start here, but I would like to see some more details. You introduce some points but not in sufficient detail for them to have much meaning. For instance, you mention the Fruit Bowl Manifesto, but I don't know what that is. This level of detail is great for advertising copy, but not really for a review.

It would also be good to know if the content is repetitive, how much of the magazine is ads and how much is real content, what writing style is used in the magazine, etc. Since you're a subscriber, it would be nice for you to tell whether the magazine comes wrapped in plastic (I hate paying for a subscription just to get a ripped up magazine in the mail) and roughly when the magazine shows up every month. (I try to stagger my magazines so that I don't get 5 in the same week.)

If you update this review, please send me an email at the address listed on my profile page.

How difficult is this magazine to find? What is the subscription rate and how often is it published?

So this is geared more for the home owner/decorater than the professional?

Are they available online and how long has it been around, a year?
