One thing that gets pointed out from time to time in CR is that keeping up with electronics is very tough, since (for instance) Sony may be sold with exactly the same "guts" at Best Buy and Circuit City, but have different model numbers and slightly different shells. It gets irritating, trying to shop for a new CD player...

We subscribed for a while but found it just as easy to head to the Library when we needed info. I wish they'd keep up on electronics though--it seems that new models are out faster than the magazine can handle.

I tried the online version for one year and decided it wasn't for me--I rarely used it.
