| Rose10198's Full Review: Country Living Gardener Magazine |
In my opinion Country Living Gardener is one of the best gardening magazines on the market. Yes, it does have a fair amount of advertising, but in comparison to other magazines, it is not overdone. I do not have to search through page after page to get to the article I want to read the most. The graphics are beautiful. I find myself using even the ads for ideas. The information provided is accurate, informative, and easy to follow. The buyers guide is excellent. When I compare it to other gardening magazines or specialty publications devoted to outdoor living, it wins my vote hands down. There are very few if any pages that are not full color when it is warranted. I didn't like paying sometimes up to 5.00 per magazine only to find the majority of it is either advertising, and or non color articles. When I am looking at a plant I like, I want to see the actual plant, not a diagram of a bed where the plant is. Country Living Gardener gives you both. You are able to see the actual landscape design and then see a diagram of how it was laid out. This is my kind of magazine. My only complaint is that it comes out six times a year instead of twelve. I find Rebecca's Garden Magazine a very informative and well published magazine as well, if the Country Living Gardener were not available to me.
