thedan911's Full Review: ESPN Magazine Subscription
We all know the saying, " I wanna be like Mike." The vibe I get from ESPN THE MAGAZINE is, " I wanna be like Sports Illustrated." The only creativity put into ESPN is it has a bigger cover. WOW!!! Now they're COOKIN!!!! Bland Photos, 5th grade writing, and a whole bunch of overused Chris Berman expressions truly puts this mag into the lows of the lows. The only positives I can think of ESPN THE MAG are Stuart Scott ( who sometimes thinks he's DMX) and Rich Eisen. There really is no excitement in this mag ( much unlike SI, who has Rick Reilly in every issue) My prediction is that ESPN THE MAGAZINE will last about another year or two, because thats about the time when DMX goes out of style, and with that so will Stuart Scott, and with that ESPN THE MAGAZINE.
