The title of this really should be "ornamental gardening", since the editors seem to be completely unaware of the fact that some people grow things that can be eaten. It's a very slick, pretty magazine, with few advertisements (which I consider a negative, not a positive, particularly considering the quality of writing in the publication--the less the better). A back issue I have in my possession has a long, long, long article dealing with criticisms of a private garden most people would not have heard of, and nobody cares about even if they have heard about it.
And that's the real problem with Fine Gardening magazine--most of the articles are about things nobody knows or cares about. The few tips they offer are tips readily available elsewhere, at much lower prices.
If you need a magazine to put on your coffee table before House And Garden comes to photograph you, I suppose this would do.
