| psychocy's Full Review: Fortean Times Magazine |
The Fortean Times is the ultimate guide to wierd phenomena. Filled with absorbing articles on recent strange occurrences, the FT never fails to satisfy your appetite for the unusual. The articles are, for the most part, written objectively, which is where FT differs from most publications of this type. This is no joke mag - it's not the Weekly World News. However, FT does not allow objectivity to shackle their sense of humor, which is always evident.
Strange deaths, paranormal sightings, odd internet websites, occult news, insightful editorials, bizarre newspaper headlines, and odd photographs (among other things) are featured within the pages of FT. The magazine is geared toward adults, although it's probably safe for older teens, as well.
This magazine is based in England, so you have to get used to the slightly different writing style & terminology (unless you're English). However, once you get past this simple obstacle I think you will find FT worth your time.
If you're a fan of Ripley's Believe It Or Not, or get excited when you see an unusual news bit, this magazine is right up your alley!
