What i love best about this magazine is that it's not scared to commentate on society and the world. Unlike Maxim, which sees itself content to limit itself to banal articles about how best to get women in bed (as if women were computer games), and what the best beers in the world are, Gear will dive into social commentary (the HIV article was particularly informative and prolly controversial too), and yeah, it'll throw in some stuff about how to get women in bed but in a way that celebrates an openness to sexuality.

Plus, Gear rates a much wider selection of music and movies and recommends great classics.

Oh, and the photo spreads can be AMAZING (remember the Jessica Biel issue?).

Heh, if there's anything that this mag has over Maxim and FHM, it's that it isnt a "men's magazine". I think most anyone would enjoy reading it, while men would get an extra kick out of it.

Of course, there's a fashion section, i'd just be hard pressed to find it.
