I've never seen a magazine in the sci-fi/fantasy category that could measure up...
Okay, so the subject matter is such that it makes it impossible for me to suggest a reading to just ANYONE, but IF you enjoyed the movie, IF you enjoy ADULT cartoons & animation, IF you like science fiction/fantasy art, illustration, or the like, then this magazine is probably something you don't want to miss. The printing is high quality and they still do features which are sometimes noteworthy. This magazine featured H.R. Giger back when ALIEN was first being filmed, I own a classic highlighting Deborah Harry back in the original BLONDIE days, there was also an artist spread on the guy who did the original THE CROWE comics and of course the mag. rotated works from all the talent who contributed to the movie.
Personally, I was a bit let down by the last few issues I have seen--but many of the artists have changed and I have yet to get really caught up with a particular story line, etc. And i'm coming at this from an artist's point of view so i won't say that i appreciate ALL the stories/art, but i still think it's a terrific venue and a real one-of-a-kind magazine.
