| moonglow's Full Review: Jump Magazine |
Unlike most magazines for teen girls, Jump writes about real teens, just like us, and the magazine shows us that we can be like them too. We can be successful, smart, by just trying our hardest. Some people think the slogan "For girls who dare to real" is cheesy, but I think it really means "For girls who dare to be themselves".
Others also think there are too many make-up ads, and just too many make-up articles. However, people need to realize, some girls are going to like to wear make-up, and some aren't whether there is a magazine written about it or not.
The clothes in jump is not skanky either. Unlike in some magazines, where they teach you to dress like a "celeb". There was also an article in jump where they showed you what kind of bathing suits would look good for your body type, and not how to make your body look good for your bathing suit, which I thought was really appropriate.
This magazine is not and I repeat is not another YM or J14. Jump Magazine does not obsess about celebrities and how to impress boys, which I think is really good because who cares which celebrity is marrying who? What are the chances that you're going meet Britney anyway?
