DrMirage's Full Review: Maxim Magazine Subscription
MAXIM magazine...why should you try it?!? It's true that this magazine is not for everyone, but if you are a young female or male that is tired of wrestling magazines, hot-rod magazines, "teen-beat" type magazines, and The Globe, then this may the reading material you crave.
This magazine actually has a pretty good following of female subscribers (as evidenced by the number of letters the magazine receives from female readers), and the information contained within shows a light-hearted side to life in general.
I think what is most important about reading a magazine such as this would be to have a sense of humor and not take everything you read too seriously. The magazine may have it's low-points, but some of the articles are enlightening also. Of course, if you are buying the magazine because the newest poster-girl is on the cover, well, I can't blame you because everyone knows that sex sells! If you don't think this is true, how do you explain "Playboy", "Victoria's Secret", and "WWF Smackdown"?
Compared to other "men's" magazines, I find the approach taken by MAXIM's staff to be fresh, in good fun, and very interesting, and if that is the type of material you are looking for, then MAXIM is the magazine for you!
