Pros:price, CD-ROM, magazine, value for money
Some people might think that computer magazines are for computer geeks and that if you tried to read them you wouldn't understand a word. Well, lets get things straight. Computer magazines are not easy to read but that does not make them impossible to read.

Since PCWorld is a computer magazine it falls into the computer magazine category but based on experience I find it the easiest magazine to read.
I have real all of the computer magazines on the market and I find it the best. Now obviously for computer geeks the language is not a problem and so this is not an issue. But then again, remember we might all have computers but we aren't all computer geeks.
This is where PCWorld kicks in. The language based on some surveys conducted by PCMechanic (website) is the easiest. But of course, not all of the articles can be simplified into modern day English.
The help sections, how-tos or technical support are written in colloquial language whereas the reviews or covers story articles use the computer jargon.
But despite the easy form of language this is not the main reason why I buy this magazine. I buy it because it is value for money. Besides the detailed magazine it contains a CD-ROM that contains the latest and greatest in downloads. It is a cost savvy method for people with slow internet connections or who hate downloading programs. It sometimes comes with an extra CD-ROM that contains a full working program.
The magazine itself only costs $6.95AU and if you workout the total costs you'll notice that they don't make much profit.
PCWorld is really for people who don't want to pay much on the magazine, who want short, simple easy to read and understand articles and who wasn’t very good CD-ROM filled with the best of programs.
Short, descriptive and easy to read articles with colourful helpful diagrams that help you understand what they're talking about. Approx 120 pages each month. Colourful, clear and easy to read fonts which do not make it a university text book.
This is the best part. it contains a range of programs varying for the latest updates to the best in the multimedia section. It contains browsers, games, updates, multimedia, reviews, shareware. Every month they have some special deals. For example they might have 100 free games or the full version of Corel Linux.
This is a must for people who want to keep up to date in the IT era. It is a must for every computer geek and really anyone who uses a computer and knows what the CPU is.
For people who want more content rather than a fancy magazine PC Magazine would be the must. But for all the others you can't go past PCWorld.
