I really do not know about that. This past year was the first time that I had the free subscription. Before that I usually only picked up the magazine in dr's offices and places like that.

that People was a better magazine years back?
It seems it at one time had more human interest stories....or was I just interested in more trivial things at that time in my life?

Well, ya know that People makes so much money only because so many people read it, allowing them to charge extremely high advertising rates. That probably says more about our society than about the magazine, which is only doing what it thinks will make a lot of money. In this case, they're right.
